Upcoming Unmanned Aerial System Treatment

On April 23rd, 2026, Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District will be conducting an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) treatment in the cities of Lake Elsinore and Eastvale. This new standard treatment method allows District staff to better manage mosquito populations in inaccessible areas.
In Lake Elsinore, this treatment will happen in a portion of the wildlife preserve just south of the lake. While in Eastvale, treatment will take place south of Citrus and east of Harrison near the wetland ponds adjacent to the Santa Ana River. Please see the maps below.

This area will be treated with Natular G30, a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-approved (EPA Reg. #839-83), public health pesticide that is also OMRI-certified for organic crops. This is a "dry pesticide" that drastically reduces the potential of pesticide drift.
The treatment will be performed by FAA-certified pilots who meet all safety requirements.
